About the Event
During National Human Trafficking Awareness Month and National Mentorship Month, Project Mona’s House is organizing a Lobby Day in Albany to elevate the voices of survivors, youth, mentors, and community advocates.
Together, we will visit legislative offices to ask New York State lawmakers to prioritize funding, policies, and legislation that protect women and children, prevent trafficking and gender-based violence, and strengthen youth-centered prevention and mentorship programs across New York State.
This advocacy day will focus on:
Prevention-first solutions that reduce vulnerability before exploitation occurs
Youth-led and youth-prioritized programming, including mentorship, education, and leadership development
Survivor-centered legislation that protects Overcomers and ensures access to rehabilitation, restoration, and long-term support services
