Learn how to volunteer with girls in grades 3–12 at YWEA. Orientation is Wednesday, September 2, from 6–8 p.m. at the FreeTHEM Center, 852 Kensington Ave. Some Tuesday or Thursday availability is needed. Registration is required.

About the Event
The Young Women’s Empowerment Academy is seeking 10 caring, dependable adults who want to help girls in grades 3 through 12 grow into joyful, confident, emotionally healthy, community-minded young women.
Our volunteers do more than supervise activities. They become part of each girl’s village. They listen, encourage, redirect, model healthy choices, share their knowledge, and help our Empowered Girls recognize their gifts and possibilities.
Volunteer opportunities may include:
Mentoring and relationship building
Assisting group and class leaders
Supporting our Power Girl Curriculum
