Little Victories: A family reunited

At Project Mona’s House, we strive to restore the women that we serve. For some survivors, this restoration comes when they are reunited with their family members.

For one woman in our program, this dream reunion became a reality. Recently, one of the women in our program was granted custody of her child through family court. As part of her custody journey, she has now gotten her own apartment, and is finally able to be together with her child once more.

Because she was trafficked, this woman lost custody of her child, which happens frequently in such cases. However, now, she is clean, and is currently working at a partner place of employment through Project Mona’s House.

Seeing families reunited is one of the many reasons WHY we do what we do.
